Start to explore galaxy from your single planet to whatever ambition you desire. You create your species and culture for your space faring faction. Stellaris -> mixture of 4X games with the ambition of a grand strategy game. Really good to learn the genre but the AI and the variety of factions is relatively small If you can spend a bit more for the complete edition i recomend it. Without spoiling it too much the game is designed in a way that keeps incredeble amount of pressure on the player while giving just enough space you don't lose. XCOM 2 -> one of the best strategy games i ever played. Medieval 2 is about battles in medieval era but has such great modding that can completely convert the game into something completely new.

total war (shogun 2 and medieval 2) -> shogun 2 is all about batles between samurais. In terms of games i feel like you are missing the strategy genre. Because of this i'd recomend jsut play those games during these 5 months and buy more at the winter sale. so expect the winter sale in the last 2 weeks of this year. There's only room for one MMORPG in my life (that's Guild Wars 2), and while I'm not above adding small indie developer games to the library they aren't a huge priority unless they come with universal acclaim or a really, REALLY cheap price tag.
